Nenny’s
Necklaces began in the summer of 2004. Camie
Hall was visiting with her grandmother, Beemie, and they spent many of those
rainy summer days beading necklaces together.
She clearly had inherited her love for jewelry from her Aunt Nen. The Jennifer Linscott Tietgen Family Foundation had recently
been established and everyone was thinking of ways to raise money for the
foundation. Camie and her Beemie
decided that they would make necklaces to sell to relatives at an upcoming
family reunion. Everyone soon fell
in love with the Nenny’s Necklaces and also the cause behind them.
Word quickly began to spread from family to friends to total strangers
and Nenny’s Necklaces had begun a life of its own.
Camie and her Beemie
continue to bead necklaces together but now have elicited help from additional
family members. Each necklace is
individually strung by a family member and therefore, each necklace is unique.
All necklaces are beaded on an elastic cord and are meant to be stretched
over your head. We hope that the
above pictures give you an idea of what our Nenny’s look like.
Thank you for your support.
